Patricia (Patti) Stoneking – Owner & Instructor

Patricia is certified by the National Rifle Association (NRA) as a Training Counselor/ Pistol Instructor with a Personal Protection rating, Chief Range Safety Officer and Refuse To Be A Victim Program Instructor. She is also certified by the State of Kansas as an approved Concealed Carry Instructor. Patricia has attended training at top gun shooting schools, Chapman Academy of Practical Shooting and Strategos International. She has also trained with world renowned firearms instructors Ken Hackathorn and John Farnam. Patricia serves as President of the Kansas State Rifle Association, the state sanctioned affiliate to the NRA. She is a competitive shooter participating in Action Pistol shooting matches. The NRA honored Patricia with the 2008 Marion P. Hammer Woman of Distinction Award for her leadership in the firearms training industry and activism in protecting Second Amendment rights. She is an Endowment Life Member of the NRA, Advisor to the Kansas Federation of Students For Concealed Carry On Campus and manages the officially sanctioned training program at The Bullet Hole Shooting Range in Overland Park, KS.

Bob Stoneking – Instructor

Bob is an NRA Certified Handgun Instructor with a Personal Protection rating and is certified by the Attorney General of the State of Kansas as a Concealed Carry Instructor. He is also a Hunter Education Instructor. Bob has completed training at Chapman Academy of Practical Shooting where he received a Master Marksman rating. He has also successfully completed the Combat/Tactical Handgun course with world renowned Firearms Instructors Ken Hackathorn and the Defensive Pistol course with John Farnam. Bob serves on the Board of Directors at Tri-County Rod and Gun Club and participates as a competitive shooter in bulls-eye leagues and action pistol matches. He is an Endowment Life Member of the NRA. Bob has been an avid hunter all of his life hunting both small and large game and is an active wildlife conservationist.

Joe K. Orr – Instructor

Jim Scott – Instructor

Jim is an NRA Certified Instructor with a Personal Protection rating. He is also certified by the Attorney General of the State of Kansas as a Concealed Carry Handgun Instructor and by the Department of Wild Life and Parks as a Kansas Hunter Education Master Instructor. He has also successfully completed the Combat/Tactical Handgun Course with world renowned Firearms Instructor Ken Hackathorn. Jim serves on the Board of Directors at Tri-County Rod and Gun Club, participates as a competitive shooter and match director for the action pistol matches, and also serves as range master for live fire at hunter education classes. Jim has been an avid hunter all of his life, hunting both small and large game. Jim has 18+ years instructing many different disciplines.

Chris Hopkins – Instructor

Chris is a retired police officer, having served with the Kansas City Kansas Police Department for over thirty-two years and retiring as the Range Master for the Firearms Training Unit.  He is an NRA certified instructor in police patrol rifle, shotgun and pistol.  Chris has attended classes at Gunsite Training Center four times, Thunder Ranch twice and numerous smaller classes. The smaller classes have been taught by such well known instructors as Ken Hackatorn, Massad Ayoob, John Farnam and Jim Cirillo.  He is a certified armor in Remington shotgun, Glock handgun and DPMS AR-15 rifle.  In addition to his NRA instructor certifications he is also a Kansas Concealed Carry Instructor and a Kansas Hunter Education instructor.  He enjoys his annual turkey, dove and deer hunts in western Kansas. 

Greg Burris – Instructor

Greg is employed with the KCKS Police Department and just recently enjoyed his 33rd anniversary with the Department. He has served on the Department Tactical team for numerous years, the Firearms Training Unit as Assistant Range Master and is currently in the CSI Unit. He is a Life Member of the NRA and is a current Kansas Hunter Education Instructor. He is also a current NRA certified Range Safety Officer as well as a Law Enforcement Certified Instructor in the disciplines of Handgun, Shotgun and Patrol Rifle. He is a certified armorer for the Glock handgun as well as the AR-15 platform rifle, certified by DPMS. He has attended classes in the past such as the IACP Advanced Tactical and Hostage Rescue Operations Course, KC MTOA H&K MP5 Submachine Gun Course, US Dept. of Justice/ FBI Submachine Gun Instructor School, and belonged to both the MTOA and NTOA, Tactical organizations. He is a current member of both Tri County Rod and Gun Club and Mill Creek Rifle club and is a current State of Kansas Concealed Carry licensee. Fall is his favorite time of year and the beginning of Dove season kicks off the hunting year. He regularly travels to western Kansas for both Deer and Turkey with a small group of regular hunting buddies.
