Obtaining A Kansas Concealed Carry License

It is fairly easy to understand the process you must complete to apply for your licence. You will also need to complete a four page application, which requires a recent passport style photograph. These materials, along with a $40 fee for the county Sheriff and $110 application fee payable to the Kansas Attorney General must be turned into your local Sheriff in person. It is important to note that only cashier's checks and money orders will be accepted for the payments. When you turn in your application packet, the Sheriff's office will take your fingerprints and application, and the KBI will run a background check. By law, a Kansas concealed carry permit application must be held for review for at least 45 days and for at most 90, so you should have your answer within about three months.
